Michael McDunn will be an exhibitor in the American Craft Council Show in Atlanta March 12-14, 2010

Now in its 21st year, the American Craft Council Show in Atlanta will feature many of the nation’s most respected craft artists, who will exhibit and sell their latest high-quality, handmade jewelry, furniture, clothing, home accessories and more. At the southeast’s largest craft show, artists are selected though a rigorous annual jury process to assure the admission of museum-quality work. They will be presenting their latest work in a variety of media, including glass, metal, wood, clay, ceramics and fiber, among others. Their pieces are unique in terms of design and fit a variety of price points with works worthy of the most discerning collections as well as those more appropriate for everyday use. The works presented at The American Craft Council Show in Atlanta range in price from $25 to thousands.

Many artists have been “green” before green was cool. The three-day show will feature works from a number of specially designated GreenCraft artists who use recycled materials and/or sustainable processes to produce their works. Parents and children attending the Show should also look for booths marked Craft4Kids.

Show hours are Friday & Saturday, March 12-13: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Sunday, March 14: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Ticket prices are $12 for one day; $18 for a two-day pass and all three days’ admission for $20. Children 12 and under are admitted free. American Craft Council members and those who join the non-profit organization at the show ($25 annual membership fee) are admitted free all weekend. Craft enthusiasts wanting an early opportunity to meet featured artists and buy their works before the show should plan to attend the Preview Party on Thursday, March 11 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Cobb Galleria Centre. Tickets for the Preview Party are $75 each and can be purchased at craftcouncil.org/atlanta. Also, to preview the show and purchase tickets online, please visit: craftcouncil.org/atlanta
